The Student Affairs and Registration Department at Al-Ameed University received a group of students coming from Yemen following their acceptance into its colleges. This is part of the "Study in Iraq" initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, aimed at attracting Arab and international students from various countries around the world.
Upon their arrival at Baghdad International Airport, the students were received by the Official of the International Students Division, Mr. Ali Adel, and Mr. Mustafa Sattar, who worked to facilitate their entry procedures and provide the necessary support.
After arriving at the university, the students met with the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Maytham Hameed Al-Qanbar, who welcomed them, emphasizing that they are in their second home, Iraq, and in the embrace of the Holy Karbala Governorate and Al-Ameed University. This took place in the presence of the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohsen Al-Sultani.
In a statement to the university media, the Director of the Student Affairs and Registration Department, Dr. Ahmed Yaqoub, said that Al-Ameed University pays great attention to international students and always strives to provide a safe and stimulating educational environment that contributes to their academic and personal success.
Yaqoub pointed out that receiving the Yemeni students embodies the university's vision to enhance scientific and cultural exchange with Arab countries, noting that the international student occupies an important position within the priorities of the university's developmental programs.
He added that the university continues to support the "Study in Iraq" initiative by providing integrated academic and service programs that help international students integrate into the university community and achieve their scientific goals.
Al-Ameed University affirms that attracting Arab and international students represents an important step towards achieving its vision of global scientific openness and solidifying its status as an attractive and integrated academic environment.
